Message: Challenging, Encouraging, Filled with Hope
David Boudreaux, Lead Pastor of Crescent Lake Christian Center, provided a prayer for the business community during the November luncheon. He said that he would like to provide words that are challenging, encouraging, and filled with hope as our community has struggled with several tragedies in the past week. “We seek peace and the presence of God in our community. We want people to live their best life in our community,” David said.
David told the parable from Matthew where a master entrusts three servants with a specific number of talents (units of money) based on their ability: five talents, two talents, and one talent. The first two servants doubled their money, but the third servant, out of fear, buried his one talent. The parable is a lesson about using one’s God-given gifts and resources faithfully.
“I encourage you to do with whatever talents God has given you,” David said.
