Ashley Muffit, Square One Director of Mid-America Public Library, introduced local business leaders to Small Business and Careers Services offered through the library.

“You’re leaving money on the table if you don’t use the library,” said Ashley, referring to the library receiving tax dollars.

MCPL is the largest library system in the Kansas City metro area. There are 34 branches in Clay, Platte and Jackson counties serving 840,000 people. It maintains the 19th largest public library collection in the nation. Library card holders can access business services, books, magazines and newspapers, such as the Kansas City Business Journal, online at Square One Small Business.

Examples of assistance that can be found through Square One include business plan development, market research, career exploration, branding strategies, digital marketing and more.
